About

I spent over a decade designing software people had to learn. Now I design the learning directly.

Every instructional design skill maps to a UX practice I have run for over a decade. Same employers, same work, translated below.

Simple Path Media

2024 to present

I design AI-native workflows and the training that gets teams to adopt them. Built decision-support patterns with human-in-the-loop review, holding 96% accuracy on a labeled evaluation set.

Fiserv

2021 to 2024

Redesigned an enterprise platform and learned how thousands of people learn complex software. Built a design system, which is a reusable template library by another name. Set success criteria per release, which is formative and summative evaluation in practice.

Kleinfelder

2016 to 2020

Cut task completion time roughly 30% through clearer information architecture. That is performance improvement, the thing training exists for. Ran stakeholder interviews and usability testing with field engineers, which is learner analysis with SMEs.

Nelnet

2014 to 2016

Built WCAG-compliant financial services interfaces. Most ID postings treat accessibility as a hard requirement. This is where that practice started.
